hello
i’m paul
I strive to find timeless moments through my photography. My journey as a family photographer started with my own family. Raising two daughters, I realized how quickly time flies and how precious these moments are. I work to capture those special moments in the best light to bring that same joy to other families. Join me behind the lens, where the magic happens. My sessions are relaxed and fun. It’s about creating an experience where you feel comfortable and enjoy the process, resulting in photographs that are as authentic as they are beautiful. (click for more information about me)

My Approach
Planning a family photoshoot should be a fun and stress-free experience, capturing the essence of your family’s unique bond. Here are my top 5 tips for ensuring your family photoshoot is as enjoyable and genuine as the moments you want to preserve:
1
Choose Comfortable and Coordinated Outfits
Think about outfits that make everyone feel comfortable and confident, with a touch of coordination to tie the look together. This doesn’t mean you all need to wear the same color, but rather choose a palette that complements each member. For example, if you go with earth tones, one can wear olive green, another in beige, and so on. It’s about finding a balance between looking unified and maintaining individuality.
2
Pick a Place That Speaks to Your Family
Select a location that means something special to your family, like your backyard, a favorite park, or even your living room. Familiar places help everyone feel relaxed and contribute to the authenticity of your photos, telling your family’s story in a more personal way.
3
Schedule Around Your Family’s Rhythm
Opt for a time when everyone is usually in good spirits, considering the natural light available. While the “golden hour” provides beautiful lighting, your family’s mood and energy are more important for capturing genuine smiles and moments.
4
Embrace the Candid
Let the kids play, laugh freely, and interact with each other naturally during the shoot. Candid shots that capture these spontaneous moments often end up being the most treasured, as they truly reflect your family’s dynamics and personalities.
5
Let’s Talk!
Think of me as a storyteller capturing your family’s narrative. Share your family’s interests, dynamics, and what you envision for the shoot. I’ll craft a session that brings out the authentic beauty and character of your family.
